Position Overview:
The Engineering Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive technical support to our clients esteemed customers. This position primarily involves providing expert engineering support over the phone to address a spectrum of technical challenges. You will engage with customers to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, guide software setup, perform installations, resolve networking concerns, and provide bespoke software troubleshooting assistance.

Standard Monday to Friday working hours with no weekend or late weekday shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional telephone-based engineering support via phone, email, or chat
Proficiently diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues encompassing mechanical and software aspects
Exercise patience and professionalism in guiding customers through complex technical problems
Assist customers with software setup and configuration to ensure seamless operation
Conduct online training sessions to educate customers on equipment usage and best practices
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions using the in-house ticketing system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve intricate technical issues
Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends
Continuously enhance the overall customer support experience
Qualifications, skills, and preferences:
Preferably possess a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Prior experience in technical and customer support is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues while maintaining a professional demeanour
Proven ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
Strong commitment to quality and customer service
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in IT with a good working knowledge of Windows-based software; familiarity with SQL databases is a plus
Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical equipment through PC-based remote support
Familiarity with PC-based software support, including basic networking, database setup, and software installation
Excellent multitasking skills and organisational abilities
Ability to remain composed and focused even in high-stress situations
