Our client is a growing business based in South London, who are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join them as a Project Coordinator.
This important role within a small office team, will take the lead on all administrative tasks relating to individual construction projects, you will need to be highly organised, able to work in an ever changing environment and enjoy working to project targets and deadlines.
Working closely with the Project Programme Manager, the wider office and Operations Director, you’ll be in constant contact with property developers, domestic customers, local borough councils, suppliers as well as the onsite sub-contractors. You’ll need to be a confident communicator both over the phone as well as face to face on occasions, to ensure smooth running and updates are provided and conveyed at all stages.
Key responsibilities across both project and general areas will include:
Printing / entering new job enquiries onto online database/system and attaching all documents provided
Assist with setting up new projects - lead on all related administration e.g. creating electronic filing and saving relevant documents provided by client (e.g. drawings, consent, etc.)
Responsible for completing/submitting/chasing all licencing applications including Section 50 NRSWA’s
Responsible for arranging traffic management requirements
Assisting with the process of inspections/sign offs
Procurement - taking daily orders for materials for each job, selecting the most cost effective supplier and booking in
Hiring and off-hiring plant/equipment, arranging collection, and logging all associated costs
Managing and arranging transport of excavators between projects
Arranging payment of parking for sub-contractors or colleagues on site/attending meetings
Handling all associated council related administration at completion stage
Updating in-house system and databases with actions and activities
Reviewing online site/office messaging system
Essentials and desirables:
Project coordination / administration experience, preferably from within the construction industry
Section 50 NRSWA licences/council permit experience
Knowledge of council workings and needs from construction project direction
Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Able to learn bespoke on-line systems/databases and software
Happy to work in a small hands-on team, dedicated to helping each other out to achieve common goals.
