Hourly rate: £18.50-£26.50 p/hour
Flexibility of either week-by-week temping or 3 FTC initially
Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
Location: Dorking occasionally when needed or team all in together (not weekly).
Free parking on site for office based days
Due to a re-structure and the procurement activities being bought back “in-house”, my client is looking for someone to jump straight in and assist their current procurement colleagues on all day-to-day activities.
You’ll need to have proven experience from a regulated industry – Insurance, Financial Services or Banking being their first choice, to give you a head-start on the type of steps/restrictions that you will need to take on a day-to-day basis.
You’ll be working alongside the Supplier Manager and one other colleague, so whilst being in a smaller team, you’ll need to be self-motivated and able to come up with solutions to any problems/issues that arise.
A thorough understanding of the importance of due diligence, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance in a heavily regulated environment is a must.
Knowledge of Aravo would be a distinct advantage to your application. As would familiarity with ticketing systems.
Collaborating with others to ensure that procurement strategies are contributed towards cost reduction initiatives and continued business success. Maintaining supplier selection, and ongoing management thereafter.
You’ll need to be comfortable working alongside stakeholders, and able to communicate at all levels within the wider business and beyond.
The role is sought on a permanent basis, so it could be that there might be a chance of being considered for a place on the team all going well.
