- Lloyd Recruitment Services is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Event Operations Manager to join a dynamic media company located in the outskirts of Redhill. As part of the Operations Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of professional and cost-effective B2B trade exhibitions and conferences.

Key responsibilities:
Manage the operational delivery of various small to large-scale events, including conferences, exhibitors, and gala dinners
Handle event operation budgets, future planning, forecasting, and reporting to the Operations Director
Work across multiple portfolios, planning and managing numerous events/projects simultaneously
Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with venues and key contractors
Liaise with the event team (production, marketing, sales, and finance) to ensure comprehensive awareness of all event elements
Produce and communicate accurate technical information for exhibitors, including an exhibitor manual/zone
Ensure successful delivery of all sponsorship and exhibitor packages sold by the sales team
Design and manage floorplans using EFD (AutoCAD)
Oversee the tender process for feature design, build, and delivery
Handle pre-event and onsite inquiries from exhibitors, delegates, and sponsors with composure under pressure
Address health and safety concerns and compile health and safety files, including risk assessments and construction phase plans
Collaborate with the events team to deliver virtual events
Conduct post-show evaluations and implement improvements
Be available to travel worldwide for approximately 4-6 weeks per year
Required skills and experience:
Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD (EFD), and CRM systems
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially pre-show
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Broad understanding of business-to-business events and the publishing industry
Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods
Fluency in a foreign language is advantageous
Minimum 5 years' experience in the events industry
Strong leadership abilities to manage the Operations team when the Operations Director is unavailable
Preferably, possess IOSH training for health and safety
Organized, methodical, and adept at problem-solving
Effective time management skills and ability to remain composed in stressful situations
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and travel worldwide as required
