We need someone to provide a high level of support to a very busy MD, who’s growing his business further, as well getting involved in projects and liaising with key members of the senior team within the wider business.
Retaining its family run feel, they currently employ 60+ people over 3 offices. You’ll need to be someone who can remain proactive and assertive, able to keep a positive attitude throughout the day, and become the person who is always “one step ahead” of anything that needs to be accomplished, for example reports all finalised in good time for meetings, meals / travel booked in advanced, reminders for future actions, liaising with key players in the business as well as external contacts to keep things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the leadership team, you will collaborate to ensure the MD is best placed to deliver on the team’s strategic and operational objectives
Develop and maintain internal and external networks, building knowledge of key issues in order to effectively identify and communicate priorities
Using sound judgement and effective working relationships, you’ll make decisions on behalf of the CEO where appropriate
Identify and lead and opportunities, initiatives and create a positive and engagement team culture
Conduct extensive and proactive diary management, ensuring all appropriate briefing papers are prepared and provided, and following up action points.
Correspond with department managers to facilitate internal communications, including distributing briefings and scheduling presentations
Assisting with ad hoc projects
Duties appropriate with the role such as including identifying improved ways of working
Requirements:
Proven PA experience of working directly for a CEO/Managing Director, ideally from an SME environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in English - other languages will be of benefit in this role, but are not essential
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Take initiative, be able to prioritise and be a good team player
Hold all work-related information and materials confidential
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated ability to quickly gain command of new systems
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Offer:
£38-45k basic
Monday to Friday (office based 5 days a week)
8.30 am – 6.00pm
