- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a specialist manufacturer who are in search of a Production Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.
The role:
You will play a crucial part in maintaining and supporting our clients forward-looking planning function for all their products. Your main responsibilities will include effective interaction with Team Leaders to ensure on-time delivery and ensuring compliance with all processes and procedures.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative business who is a leader in their field. Our client will also consider graduate/ junior level as full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:
Product Planner your key responsibilities will include:
Inputting orders and liaising with the Sales team to determine delivery dates prior to order input
Facilitating communication between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain departments
Maximising the utilisation of our clients order management system and ensuring visibility of all orders
Generating and sharing relevant metrics as required
Striving to improve shipping performance and achieve our on-time delivery goals
Taking ownership of planning all products through Manufacturing Cells
Identifying and resolving critical issues and items
Assessing available capacity versus projected workload
Providing support to team members in production and purchasing during absences
Required skills & experience
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to make decisions within established guidelines and take responsibility for them
Capacity to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
Experience with ERP planning systems
Strong analytical and numeracy skills
Proficiency in systems and Excel usage
Desired skills & experience
Experience with production planning systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX
Previous exposure to manufacturing and assembly organisations
Engineering competence in machining and assembly, along with a good understanding of products and organisational processes
Desirable qualifications:
Business Administration qualification
Technical degree
