PAYE £13.29 to £17.72 p/hr (equivalent to £25,500 - £34,000)
Weekly pay
6 month contract initially
Pension enrolment
Flexible working (2-3 days in the office)
Mon to Friday (early finish on a Friday)
You’ll be working as an administrator within the STEMs (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Academic Outreach team.
Being the point of contact between external stakeholders and the team who project manage, engage colleagues and deliver events to inspire students into science careers, and promote early career programmes and build positive local and corporate reputation.
You’ll be involved in all stages from initial conception, through planning and then delivery. Liaising with all parties to ensure that each and every event or programme flows successfully, including promotional materials and “giveaways”
This will also include liaising with various departments within the wider business, to ensure that minimal disruption occurs during these day events, but the best experience is available to all potential students and career seekers.
Technical Skill Requirements
Excellent project management skills, with a strong ability to plan and prioritise workload
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
IT literate and able to use MS Office tools autonomously
Strong interpersonal skills and able thrive in a team environment where outcomes depend on the group
Able to take instructions and self-motivated to apply them within defined timeframes
Able to work in complex organisation and regulated industry
Good attention to detail
Can perform a broad and challenging variety of work, some unpredictable and non-routine, using creativity and innovation
Strong desire to be a continuous learner and share learnings with the team
Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)
Degree level education/or equivalent vocational qualification
Interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
Previous work experience in a similar role / environment would be extremely beneficia
Strong IT skills including Microsoft applications
