Role description:
We are seeking a Business Systems Developer to enhance our client’s Applications team. As the demand for BI and analytics increases, they are looking to refine our commercial and technical operations. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing applications and system integrations to support our operations and contribute to our digital transformation efforts.
Key responsibilities:
Designing, scoping, and coding web applications to support commercial operations as required
Utilising application APIs to create integrations with internal and external systems across multiple Cloud platforms
Deploying, upgrading, and optimising application servers, containers, and serverless platforms to maintain security and implement new functionality
Developing enhancements and add-ons for key applications such as ERP, CRM, MES, and PLM
Providing 2nd line application support as required as part of the global IT function
Qualifications and experience:
Relevant computer science, data science, or mathematics degree OR minimum of 5 years in a similar role
3+ years of experience developing web systems in a commercial environment, ideally building intranet portals/platforms
Experience working with multiple methodologies, especially agile/Scrum derived
Previous experience with API/application integration
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
Fluent oral and written communication in English
Proficiency in relational database query languages such as SQL, SAP HANA, and Oracle
Coding skills in .NET (C#, J#), PHP, Python
Web development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Code control and versioning experience with Git or similar tools
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Front-end development experience
Experience with BDD/TDD and continuous integration
Advanced level Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate reports to senior stakeholders
Resourcefulness and the ability to work independently to find information and ask questions to gain the required data
Desirable:
Exposure to Oracle Agile PLM
ERP experience, ideally with SAP Business One suite
Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Familiarity with Atlassian Jira/Confluence products
Knowledge of AWS platform and architecture
Microsoft Certified
Additional foreign language skills, especially Mandarin, German, or Japanese
