Project Accountant sought to join our client for an initial 6 month period, to oversee the accounting activities on various projects managed, as well as being a point of contact for 2 colleagues managing the purchase and sales ledger movements.
You’ll be responsible for applying accounting controls to project management, ensuring accurate forecasting, and reporting using the 3 different software packages currently in place - Sage Line 50, an in-house designed project management system and planning software package.
You’ll be responsible for owning and delivering all project accounting information, liaising with Project Managers and coordinators to delivery updates and bids, forecasting on new and existing business, including any variance analysis. Building and maintaining a close relationship with the PM team is paramount to this role.
Key needs:
CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
Confident with your business acumen, project accounting and communication skills at all levels
Ability to influence, coach and guide others, including those outside of finance, and when necessary challenge outcome
Competent Excel user – pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. would be very beneficial
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively and deliver results on time
Essential:
You will need to be a driver and vehicle owner

This role is currently being offered on a 6 month basis, however, there is a possibility of this becoming a permanent role, in-line with intended business growth.
