 We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join a small, friendly team in a one-of-a-kind charity based in Leatherhead.
 
 
 
 
 Working as an accounts assistant, your role will be critical to ensure the effective finance function of the charity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within similar roles and be a team player who is able to multitask.
 
 
 
 
 Working hours will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Paying £26,000pa.

 Duties and Responsibilities include:
 
 
 
 Processing all supplier invoices and staff expense claims (using Sage 50), ensuring that all expenditure has been signed off by manager
 
 
 Maintaining payables ledger, matching payments made by Direct Debit with relevant invoices and corresponding with suppliers to resolve any outstanding issues
 
 
 Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs including staff expenses, as well as any urgent or ad hoc payments
 
 
 Filing all invoices, expense claims and other supporting paperwork promptly and accurately
 
 
 Recording donations and other income into CRM database ThankQ and accounts Sage 50.
 
 
 Processing sales invoices, including collecting rental income by Direct Debit, monitoring aged debtors and undertaking any necessary credit control
 
 
 To bank cash and cheques at the local branch, including assisting with increased level of cash counting / handling during summer show season
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 As well as other general day to day finance duties including monitoring finance email inbox, post, and telephone calls, being first point of contact for internal finance queries and dealing with petty cash transactions.
 
 
 
 
 Required Skills & Experience:
 
 
 
 Previous experience within a similar accounts/finance role
 
 
 Experience using Sage 50 and CRM system would be ideal
 
 
 Thorough and meticulous attention to detail
 
 
 Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
 
 
 Eager to take on new challenges and use initiative in problem solving
 
 
 Proactive team player with a friendly approach to work
