Our client is an instantly recognised name, and are now in a position of being able to introduce a new Risk Analyst to join their Retail division for initially as 12 month fixed term contract.
The Role:
You’ll be supporting the control and compliance around policies, score card and MI. Maintaining the control of risk portfolio, execution of the policies, control over the triggers and underwriter’s decisions. Monitoring of the portfolio and support of the retail risk MI and ensuring that any reporting is made accurately and to required deadlines. Analysing information and take the initiative to raise queries with management as they arise.
Key Skills & Experience:
Supporting the Retail Risk Manager in analysis and monitoring of the retail portfolio including indicators and early warning triggers (delinquency rates, VMG, arrears, early arrears, etc)
Perform checks on the quality of the data, investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
Identify and provide explanatory factors for main variances in reporting.
Provide support in the preparation of the Retail Risk KPI (performance of the retail portfolio, etc).
Produce MI to monitor performance indicators from reports run on the mainframe system through SAS and from other sources.
Support the regular controls over U/W decisions and policy breaches.
Handle both UK and Head Office data requests.
Ensure all procedure guides are kept up to date.
Working Relationships / Networks:
Main relationships are with the local senior management team from within the business, as well as associated partnerships.
All risk departments at local and global level. Regulators, internal and external auditors.
These relationships will involve working on requests for information on various subjects and giving timely and accurate feedback/reporting on those requests which will be used to help advise and influence the decision-making process on whatever subjects are requested.
