Leading UK specialist in Renewable Energy sector is seeking to expand their Junior Heating Engineer team, to create new partnerships with Lead Heating Engineers out of their Surrey and Gloucs offices. Working on projects mainly within 1 hour of the office, you’ll be keen to learn and develop your skills further in this growing and expanding sector.
Job Description
We are looking for a junior Heating Engineer / Plumber preferably you will have NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Plumbing.
CSCS card holders preferred, but not essential.
Working as part of a two-man installation team, under the direction of a lead heating engineer initially until fully qualified to work alone.
Jobs will cover larger domestic properties to higher-end commercial jobs.
Happy working in various roles – pipe fitting, lagging, filling, heat pumps, boiler systems including fuel stores, ventilation, flues, groundworks, manifolds and chambers.
Likely to be working with 28mm to 54mm and larger in copper and steel.
Skills & Experience
Good knowledge of UK Building and Water Regulations and to comply with them
Understanding of flushing, inhibitors, additives needed for heating systems.
Ability to prepare for a job by checking and preparing: tools 9reserved, signed out and returned as needed), van stock, time required
Experience in pipe fitting and heating engineering
Experience in renewable, construction and gas industries
We are looking for people who show initiative in solving problems, and have a disciplined approach to work and the building regulations
Salary will depend on the experience the successful candidate offers
Points to consider before applying
A clean driving licence (no more than 3 points).
This role will on occasions require overnight and multi-night stay overs, dependent upon project size/duration
