Junior Diagnostic Technician

Lloyd Recruitment are pleased to be working with a well-established, one of a kind, independently owned company who are looking for a Diagnostic Technician to join their busy workshop team.



All training will be provided in-house in their bespoke and specialist field, which means they could consider candidates without any previous experience in the motor industry if supported by a motor / vehicle maintenance related educational qualification.



You will need to be keen to learn new skills and adapt quickly to learning new techniques whilst working under instruction of more senior and experienced colleagues.

  • A team player, with the confidence to ask questions and learn through practical application


  • Somebody who can draw on their own analytical, creative and academic skills that are essential for problem solving and identify solutions for the technical nature of our business


  • A full, clean driving license is essential




Duties of a Diagnostic Technician:



  • To carry out diagnosis and repairs in the required time frame, reporting to the workshop manager


  • Recording details of vehicles diagnosis, repairs and time spent using internal database


  • Communicate work required and advise of timings, repair and cost


  • Ensure parts used are replenished, advising workshop manager on stock levels.


  • Compliance with workshop Health & Safety


  • Effective use of time management for repairs to customer’s vehicles - liaise with office to coordinate & prioritise customer repairs
