Working for an internationally recognised brand name in the world of pharmaceuticals, you'll be supporting the training and safety compliance areas in the Chemical Research and Development (CRD) areas.
Previous experience in training management / co-ordination or strong administration experience is desirable for this interesting and evolving role:
Training (70-80%):
Being the point of contact for the division, and working alongside the Senior Advisor, you'll be responsible for maintaining job roles, training and trainers (both existing and new colleagues), through all stages.
Updating procedures and maintaining review processes and tracking
Liaising with managers for new starters, assigning correct training needs and mapping out to joiner and manager alike
Monitor and promote good training compliance for the division, maintaining feedback on assigned training and annual training reviews.
Get involved in the improvement of "learning" - missing training, video guides, interactive training as well as paper and electronic capture details.
Review the US programme and identify any gaps for UK equivalent.
Build a more accurate way of mapping the US and UK differences - especially useful for uploading new materials.
Ongoing tracking and support of the UK programme
Maintain the database for costs, contacts, attendees, trainers, etc..
Coordinating with sponsor groups, for external soft skills training
Liaise with external training companies (scientific and non) throughout processes.
Track and maintain the departments training budget activities.
Safety Compliance (20-30% TBD)
Receive training to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their Safety Software
Develop pool of incident assessors and investigators, support assignment and tracking of investigators for future use
Support Safety Team to trend incidents and root causes and to look at effectiveness of actions or areas for focus
Work with SME’s to ensure both contemporary and relevant task based, COSHH and manual handling risk assessments are upheld
Support scheduling, action capture, feedback and continuous improvement of their safety inspection process
Track the training budget activities
Essentials for the role:
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Project management skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines, identifying problems and relevant issues in non-routine situations in a structured environment
Proactive and demonstrate ability to multi-task, prioritise work and manage own time, referring only new or unusual problems to manager
To be able to complete recurring assignments independently, selecting the most appropriate method or approach to do so within prescribed limits of authority
Highly approachable with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team acting as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Good interpersonal skills required to develop effective relationships at all levels
Enthusiastic, helpful, motivated, reliable and hard working
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Discretion and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
