Leading UK specialist in the Renewable Energy sector, is seeking an experienced Groundworker to work on various projects in and around the Surrey/Sussex areas.
Working mainly within 1 hour of the office, you’ll be joining a team of others, responsible for successful installation of ground and water source heat pumps on large domestic residential through to high-end commercial projects.
Key role:
Install hydraulic HPE/MDE pipework that forms the heat collector of ground or water source heat pumps.
Install headering pipework for borehole array collection/connection into heat pump.
Carry out electrofusion and butt welding of plastic pipe.
Install the inspection of manifold and pits.
Pressure test and certify the installation.
Flush and fill large hydraulic systems with water and glycol solutions.
Before going to site, liaise with the project manager to plan what equipment, tools parts and programme/time information is needed for a project’s groundworks installation.
Work on a mixture of projects, from larger domestic manor house properties to higher-end commercial jobs
Liaise with other contractors and clients on our projects.
Ensure the project manager and relevant people are kept up to date with the installation progress and issues.
Know when to escalate issues on site to the Project Manager, Field Technical Director and/or Operations Director.
Points to consider before applying
A clean driving licence (no more than 3 points).
Company van available for company use
This role will on occasions, will require stay-overs up to 50% of the working week.
