Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Systems Specialist to join their growing team.
Purpose of the role
As the Systems Specialist, you will work as part of a Travel Technology team reporting into the Directors to deliver the end-to-end implementation and maintenance of travel technology products.
The Systems Specialist will ensure the smooth operating of these systems to maximise the internal user and customer experience.

Competitive salary of £30k - £38k
22 days holiday per year plus bank holidays rising to 27 days with long service
Hybrid working 3 days office 2 WFH
Monday to Friday role 9am – 5:30pm, 37.5 hour week

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Market research
Integration & Training
Troubleshooting
End to end implementation of Online Booking Tools (OBTs) including maintaining and evolving OBTs and associated applications within a team
Work within the Implementation team and be accountable to agreed go-live deadlines
Manage relationships with vendors, operations teams and senior management team (SMT) to ensure required tasks and their associated deadlines are met
Assist, support & train operations so that they are self-sufficient in managing day to day system queries and being proactive in their own capacity to avoid the Travel Technology Specialist becoming first line support, where possible
Proactive use of logs and reviews across all technology solutions with appropriate escalations to SMT
Provide technical and product recommendations to optimise customer workflow using the pre-sales/implementation process
Update and work as part of an accountable team on the status of implementation across new platform deliveries, new client builds and enhancements to existing technology solutions
Provide documentation, technical support and training for all internally developed booking tools, both internally and externally
Maintaining industry and product knowledge and keep up to date with market
Manage / key stake holder for the product line lifecycle (concept to phasing out) of all technology solutions
Review and implement market-related enhancements, configuration updates and test before informing both internal and external stakeholders
Proactively onboard new products and enhancements, configuration updates and test before informing both internal and external stakeholders
Conduct demonstrations across internally developed booking tools, both internally and externally with clients, to maximise engagement and efficiencies
Create and maintain detailed project plans
Create, test and implement approval technology in conjunction with travel policy
Gain knowledge across all technology solutions
Essential:
