** £30-35K ** Mon–Fri ** 8:30–5.00 ** 23 days holiday plus 8 Bank Hols **
** 3% Pension contribution ** WFH – must live commutable to office **
Are you an experienced Bids and Content writer?
Do you have experience of working on high frequency or large bids?
Are you able to work to tight deadlines?
English Degree is desirable.
The main purpose of this role is to work with the bid team and other internal stakeholders, to produce high-quality written content for bids, tenders, proposals and other supporting materials.
This is a crucial role, that enables the company to win business. You will be in a team of 2 and will be expected to run with 1-3 bids at a time, so a passion for working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
This is a work from home position; however, you must be able to come into the office, based in Swadlincote, when required.
Duties:
Produce bid content based on input from subject matter experts
Re-write / edit bid responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, finance, commercial, legal, service delivery and IT
Manage the bid process for certain opportunities where required
Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet / exceed the client’s requirements
Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid and Content Manager against agreed deadlines, escalating issues, as required
Participate in storyboard sessions with bid / proposal team members
Undertake market research for the kick-off and solution meetings
Develop and manage a network of subject matter experts
Assist the Bid and Content Manager in developing bid/proposal structures
Support the sales teams with presentation and proposal content
Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
Present and tag new proposal content for potential re-use
Develop and maintain a library of exemplar answers
Manage the administration of the bid function, including the logging and appropriate communication of all in bound opportunities
Collation of regular Bid Management Information for distribution to senior management
Essential Skills:
Highly motivated to support the Bid Management Team
Hard working with an excellent work ethic
Good communication skills
Excellent written English for tender, proposal and other related content
Communicate effectively with other stakeholders in the business
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clear understanding of bid processes, drivers, and challenges
Proficient skills in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent time management / prioritisation skills
Forensic attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills
Advantageous Skills:
Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Experience of the Records Management services
