- Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK FTSE250 financial services organisation who are keen to recruit a Business Operations Manager to perform this pivotal role within their business.
The Business Operations Manager will work closely with the Retail Operations Director to develop and implement business strategies specific to the operational function. The role will be responsible for the management, motivation and empowering the Business Operations teams (Administration, Contact Centre, Governance) to provide a professional, efficient service to customers and brokers.
This role will also be responsible for driving performance within operational teams and have an ethos of challenging and improving processes whilst working in partnership with other key stakeholders, this includes supporting key projects from a subject matter expert perspective to ensure that project delivery is aligned with the customer and broker journey
The Business Operations Manager will also take ownership of forecasting and processing incoming work volumes as well as maintaining a headcount within budget while ensuring the highest standards of Conduct, Risk and Compliance specifically in respect of AML and Complaints oversight.
There will be 7 direct reports with overall responsibility for 110 members of staff.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in insurance broking specifically a detailed level of the customer journey for both commercial and personal lines insurance
Knowledge of premium finance products and markets
Deep understanding of regulations specifically in respect of complaints and vulnerable customers
Proven experience of project delivery and project disciplines
Proven experience of managing and motivating operations focused teams to provide a high level of performance and service
Proven experience in as a subject matter expert in a project environment whilst working in a regulated environment
Results driven, with proven experience of strong people management and development
Analytical, with strong decision-making skills
Outstanding communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders and customers
Coaching, mentoring staff and/or team members
