This is a wide reaching and exciting role within a recently established financial services organisation and offers the opportunity to work across Financial Crime work streams including anti-money laundering, fraud prevention and transactional monitoring. The workload is diverse and includes investigations, research, analytical assessments of due diligence and screening alerts. Additionally, you will be engaged in all aspects of the company's Compliance and Operational Risk activities, carrying out regular compliance tasks and ensuring that appropriate records are kept and maintained. You will also be expected to complete written reports and ad hoc project work.

Key responsibilities:
Conducting investigations into potential financial crime cases, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), high risk customers, adverse media screening, transaction monitoring and fraud alerts.
Assisting with developing, enhancing and communicating the company’s standards and frameworks for mitigating financial crime risks.
Providing advice, guidance and updates on the application of financial crime policy and best practice.
Developing and maintaining relevant management information on financial crime and related risks.
Attending periodic industry forums on financial crime related topics, to enhance knowledge and expand network.
Administer the Company's register of policies and procedures, assisting the team in providing timely reminders to policy owners of the need to update documentation.
Develop and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders
Assist the Head of Governance in the preparation and submission of MI and other ad hoc tasks to the Fraud Committee, Risk & Governance Committee and external parties
Help to monitor, analyse and interpret new FCA rules and regulations, identify and address any gaps between existing processes and new regulatory requirements
Background/skills required:
Experience within the financial services sector and an understanding of AML policies and procedures (including sanctions, bribery and corruption)
Good Financial Crime, KYC and CDD subject matter knowledge
A team player with a solution orientated attitude
A strong customer focus and drive to support business objectives
Proven analytical and written presentation skills.
Knowledge of FCA regulations
