- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a leading company based in East Grinstead who are currently in search of a CNC Machine Operator to join their team.
Our client is looking for a hardworking and reliable CNC Setter Operator to join the production team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years practical experience working within a production environment operating and programming CNC milling machines.
Key responsibilities
Set and operate speciality machinery to fabricate, manufacture, or assemble
Maintain and monitor machine to make sure it functions properly
Understanding of how operated machine works
Conduct quality checks and take responsibility for manufacture of quality products
Record accurately production data using manufacturing control system
Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed
Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
Accurately perform production tasks, to tight deadlines
Raise issues/problems promptly to Production Supervisor
Consider health and safety in day to day activity (adheres to training and instruction given)
The candidate
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working to fine tolerances
Experience setting and operating Bridgeport 3 axis mill
Manufacturing of fixtures and tooling
Programming, setting and operating lathe, able to set a CNC lathe with driven tooling and sub spindle
Manual turning and milling using a variety of engineering materials
Reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings and using them to set up machine and check parts
Operation of miscellaneous workshop equipment including vertical and horizontal saw, pillar drill
Fanuc & Heidenhain experience
Medical or scientific instrument machining experience desirable but not essential
Varied experience with machinery set up and operations
Experience of using of PCs for job management
Efficient, good work ethic, with general practical skills
Ability to learn and pick up new skills
Hours
39 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 DOE
