Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be working with one of our longest serving clients, a well-established, highly reputable FTSE250 financial services organisation, that seek an experienced Business Resilience / Business Continuity Manager to join their expanding team.

 

The main purpose of the role is to proactively lead the business with regard to Resilience, including compliance with regulatory obligations as well as facilitating right outcomes for end users. To implement capabilities, processes, behaviours and systems which allows the maintenance of operational effective in the face of disruption.

 

Championing a high engagement culture whereby staff adapt, anticipate, protect and plan for recovery at all times, whilst maintaining continuous operations and safeguarding our people, assets and customers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Full spec available)

 


  • Business Resilience


  • Drive and take ownership of roadmaps for Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to support Group Resilience Strategy


  • Assist Managers across the business with the completion of the RCSA as well as ensure there is a consistent approach across the board


  • Proactively promote a culture of Resilience to embed in our operating model


  • Utilise the Group Resilience toolset which supports end-to-end identification of recovery strategies and allows gap analysis to provide consistent response and reporting


  • Lead, own, document, and support Incident Management and appropriately engage all relevant stakeholders; supporting the Group Crisis Management framework


  • Lead both IT and businesses teams with regard to planning, process mapping, documentation and testing of Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery


  • Champion the process to identify critical business processes and understand acceptable recovery time objectives for successful resumption of business operations in the event of an incident


 

Operational Resilience

 


  • Working within the defined Group Operational Resilience Standards, support the CEO and COO to:


  • Deliver business level policies and procedures


  • Report on business-level compliance with policy and risk appetite


  • Review business services and map defined important business services


  • Complete & maintain regulatory self-assessments


  • Execute scenario testing for important business services and then create and execute remediation plans arising from any identified gaps


 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

Essential


  • CBCI or CBCP certification or equivalent


  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, and demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to learn new tasks under pressure


  • Experience with selecting and implement Resilience toolsets


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to target messages appropriately for ‘C-Suite’ Executives, Business Management, IT Management, IT staff and Risk Team members


  • Excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and communication skills including experience in the structuring and delivery of engagement and communication plans


  • Ability to work independently within a defined remit, managing schedule and multiple objectives with minimal oversight


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities


  • Ability to work well with other people at all job position levels is essential


  • Excellent Project Management, organisation, and team collaboration skills


  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills


  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability


 

Desirable


  • Relevant qualification in computer science, information systems, engineering


  • Demonstrable experience in the full Crisis Management, Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery lifecycles


  • Knowledge of Technology Recovery mechanisms


  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
