Lloyd Recruitment Services is seeking Heat Pump Service Engineers to join an expanding renewable energy company.
Please notethat works and contracts will be mainly located throughout the South, South East, South West and Midlands areas, and due to their size/duration, it may be necessary to accommodate overnight stays from time to time.
With a background in servicing and maintaining heat pumps, and a good knowledge of heating systems and/or electrical controls, you’ll be responsible for the continual efficient smooth running of the systems installed directly by clients as well as other companies under maintenance contracts.
Client satisfaction, quality of work and low return visits are key to success in this role and thorough testing and checking of completed work, should ensure that return visits are kept to a minimum.
Successful individuals will be provided with a commercial vehicle, van stock, tools and PPE. Jobs will be scheduled for you by the Service Administrators.
Duties include:
Routine servicing and maintenance of renewable systems ensuring efficiency is optimised
Site visits to conduct plumbing & electrical fault finding and repairs
Telephone technical support to clients, other engineers and internal staff as necessary
On a rota basis, provide Out of Hours Emergency support to clients. This service runs 24/7. Currently the duty rota is twice a week (Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs) 4.30pm to 8am the following day plus one weekend in 3, 4.30pm Fri to 8am Monday.
Inspection visits for service and maintenance contracts
Keeping accurate records of work completed within appropriate timescales
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience of Heat Pump installations
Be qualified with F Gas Category 1 (training can be provided)
BS7671 qualification
A systematic, well organised approach to problem solving
Be polite, conscientious and diligent with a professional attitude
Enjoy the satisfaction of problem solving which in turn leads to happy clients
A good knowledge of building regulations particularly Parts L, G, and P
An understanding of flushing, inhibitors and additives in heating systems
Full driving licence
Be able to make commercial judgements
