- Description
- Lloyd Recruitment Services are proud to be recruiting for our valued client, a well-established and highly reputable Pensions Consultancy that seek an experienced Defined Benefit Senior Pensions Administrator to join their expanding team.
The main focus of the role is to provide an accurate, reliable and high standard of service for a prestigious portfolio of clients. This role involves a mixture of liaising with members and dealing with key Scheme Events, however it is not a pure administration role. It offers a fantastic opportunity to not only enhance your pension’s experience, but to develop your skillset.
It is an ideal opportunity for someone who possesses a ‘can do’ attitude and is looking to expand their horizons beyond core administrative duties.
Managing your own portfolio of Clients
Assisting/supporting all members of the team when required
Taking ownership of the various Scheme projects required by your designated Clients
Liaising with Trustees, Clients and Actuaries
Develop and maintain a client-specific service delivery for your designated clients
Support Consulting Division with BAU help and Scheme queries
Monitor service delivery progress against each designated client's plan, providing regular report updates to the team manager
Perform highly complex pension calculations for senior executives and trustees (or as needed) accurately, using automated (system) and non-automated (manual/spreadsheet-driven) processes
Take ownership of revenue generation by maximising billable time and identifying time cost opportunities
Develop an understanding of the new Administration system, with an aim to providing a STP service. This will require input towards R&D, so the ability to identify problems and provide solutions is essential
It is essential that applicants have Defined Benefit (Final Salary) pensions administration experience, whether gained from a consultancy, in-house or provider background, and will be able to perform complex pensions calculations.
The ideal candidate will also have strong IT skills as you will be required to work with a cutting edge Pensions Administration/Actuarial system. They seek someone bright, enthusiastic, with the strength to hit the ground running and take on complex administration work.
Working in a dynamic, sociable team environment, you will be able to adapt to different challenges and take on a varied administrator role, including peer review.
You will need to be able to locate technical answers, using benefit specifications supported by Trustee documents, so an investigative nature and previous experience of working in this manner is essential.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 A levels (or equivalent) preferred
Achieved the QPA or DPC qualifications
Relevant experience to the required level of technical and behavioural competency
Ability to communicate effectively, both externally and within the organisation
Significant experience of peer review (work, procedure, processes)
Ability to work in a team
Please note, only applicants with the required experience as stated, and that are shortlisted will be contacted.
