Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a leading Manufacturing company who are looking to recruit for a Legal Assistant to join their expanding team.

 

You will be reporting to the Corporate Operations Manager and work as part of the corporate governance team, providing efficient global business support across the Group companies. 

 

This key role will provide day to day support for senior management on various aspects of corporate, legal and divisional operations.  This is a varied and dynamic role in a fast-growing multinational public company.  The role involves liaison with colleagues throughout the operations team and frequent travel across the two UK sites.

 

Salary between £25k- £27k DOE

 

25 days plus bank holiday

 

Must hold a UK driving licence

 

Key responsibilities:

 



  • Support the Corporate Operations Manager in implementing confidential business plans in line with the corporate strategy


  • Review legal NDAs and basic sales contracts, liaising with sales staff to ensure timely completion


  • Legal experience in contracts and Intellectual Property would be advantageous


  • Maintaining a working knowledge of business legal requirements and guidelines and feedback to stakeholders, working with relevant departments to ensure compliance


  • Assist with reviewing and updating corporate governance policies and company procedures as and when required


  • Provide a range of business support administration including drafting reports and correspondence across a wide range of practice areas including company law, IP, corporate governance, AIM regulations, property management


  • Responsible for specific tasks within projects for the plc Board


  • Arranging internal and external meetings, compile meeting papers, agendas, circulating board packs and taking minutes for the divisional board meetings


  • Take on sole responsibility for office/facilities management for the two UK sites including post, supplies, general maintenance


  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the needs of the business


  • Some international travel may be required as and when permitted


  • Travel between the UK offices is expected on a weekly basis (Cambridge/ Gatwick)


  • Primarily based in Cambridge


 

Qualifications and experience:

 



  • Degree or equivalent experience in Law or Business Administration Management, Politics, Economics and writing would also be suitable


  • Some experience of legal work would be an advantage, whether at NQ or paralegal level


  • 1 years’ experience in a similar in-house role would be an advantage


  • Microsoft 365 skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), happy to use VC as a means of communication

  • Ability to deal with sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality at all times


  • Excellent organisational skills; proven ability to plan and prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment, working to deadlines depending on the needs of the project


  • Self-starter, motivated and confident at dealing with colleagues across the levels, able to problem solve and work closely within a small team to support the business aims


  • Keen to learn new skills, upskill as the role evolves and learn “on the job” alongside the COM


  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills


  • Strong team working ethic


  • Helpful to have some understanding of business process in a global company


  • Willingness to go the extra mile


 

Salary between £25K - £27K DOE
