Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable company based in East Grinstead who due to expansion are currently in search of an individual with Hire Desk experience.
 
The successful individual will possess the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
 
You will be responsible for:
 
  • Updating the database
  • Liaising with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Processing of orders
  • Setting up delivery schedules
  • Identifying equipment for testing and compliance
  • Managing plant through the workshops.
  • Receive and action all site requests/off-hires for plant, vehicles and specialised equipment through the entire process
  • Ensure all requirements are understood and consideration given to obtaining the best value
  • Liaise with the General Manager on plant maintenance and repairs
  • Undertake periodic stock takes
  • Liaise with outside suppliers with regards to service and repair
  • Assist other members of the team
  • Co-ordinate deliveries
  • Assist with the production of new policies
  • Control and champion health and safety
  • Other duties as required by the General Manager
 
Experience:

  • Ideally 5 years + within a Hire Desk role (More Junior applicants may be considered)
  • Expertise in using front end and back end management systems
  • Strong IT skills
  • Knowledge of plant equipment

Additional skills:

  • The ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to communicate and build relationships effectively
  • The candidate will have excellent attention to detail
  • A good knowledge of plant/tool hire services through relevant experience within the construction industry
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong written communication skills
  • You must be a well organised individual, with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a busy office environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence – Essential due to location
 
Working hours are 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
 
Salary of £18K - £25K DOE
