- Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a leading B2B Publisher who are currently in search of an Events Marketing Associate to join their ever growing and successful team in Croydon.
Working on market leading awards and conferences, you will be responsible for driving volume and revenue growth as well as creating lead generation through multi-media direct marketing campaigns.
You will have to manage a large workload but will be working within a supportive and nurturing environment. You will be expected to support the Events Marketing Manager and the wider marketing team on other events.
This role is initially offered on a fixed term contract basis until the end of 2019, with a possible extension or transition to permanent depending upon performance.
Responsibilities:
Support the Events Marketing Manager to deliver a world-class, brand enhancing marketing communication programme for company events
Contribute to the planning and implementation of email campaigns
Media partner fulfilment, including managing banners and third party emails
Project manage and produce event collateral and brochures by creating project plans, liaising with logistics and editorial teams, working with design and print vendors, and delivering to schedule and within agreed budgets
Write, implement and manage promotional copy for brochures, letters, leaflets, adverts, online and media packs to agreed deadlines/budgets, and to measure effectiveness
Co-ordinate activity across key channels: email, web, social media, print, ensuring consistent messaging
Build and maintain event websites, optimise enquiries, bookings and traffic, and work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure sites are SEO optimised
Manage social media communications, including the scheduling of tweets and LinkedIn postings
Develop and expand each event’s community using key social influencers
To assist in growing attendees, entries and table sales by maintaining close liaison with key customers and companies
Reporting of social media and online traffic, entries and followers each month
Proactively manage and grow the current database, build campaign data and understand data selection, maintain existing data and identify new sources of data for future growth
To design and analyse questionnaires and other similar material for research purposes and report back to the team, making suggestions for the future
Manage print estimates and expenditure of costs for marketing brochures, promotional letters/mailers, stand marketing collateral and other ad hoc materials
To ensure that all work undertaken is completed to a deadline and to the high standards expected and within budget
To identify and keep up to date with the latest marketing ideas and trends and industry best practice, making recommendations for the wider team to adopt
Use market intelligence, customer insight and analysis to increase understanding of our audience and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
Provide regular analysis of key metrics and use this to assist with developing future strategy
Assist the Events Marketing Manager where needed, and carry out any other ad hoc duties as requested
Skills and competencies:
You will ideally have 3 years’ experience within events marketing (conferences, seminars or awards) in either the B2B or B2C environment. Experience within the publishing industry is desirable but not essential. More important is your attitude – you will need to be resilient, highly organised and creative, used to working to tight deadlines and with multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills – able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Time management and organisation – demonstrate the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects whilst adhering to deadlines
Problem solving – curious and proactive in nature, able to independently offer solutions
Analytical - the ability to spot trends and glean insights from raw data
Strong copy writing and proofreading skills
The ability to accurately interpret statistics and suggest ideas for improvement
A creative mind-set with an eye for good design
Tenacious, able to propose innovative solutions and see them through to completion
Results-oriented, with strong attention to detail
