Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a niche recruitment company based near to Uckfield. Due to growth and ongoing success, there is currently a requirement for a New Business Sales Consultant to join their team!

 

Reporting to the Internal Business Development Manager, the New Business Sales Consultant will be responsible for making outbound calls to UK and European companies. 

 

This is a telephone sales role with a difference – instead of selling a product you are selling a service.  You will be tasked with making a number of daily calls and gaining meetings for the Directors to present the service in more detail. 

 

You will need to be motivated, articulate and be able to have in-depth conversation with Senior Manager, Directors.  Your success will be measured on a number of key performance indicators, number of calls, number of appointments gained and number of vacancies passed to the recruitment teams.

 

To be successful in this position you will need to be inquisitive, naturally curious, and enjoy telephone based sales activities.  You will need to retain the interest of your caller and maintain a conversation that will enable you to explore their recruitment needs, gain an appreciation or their current methods of recruitment and uncover the type of recruitment skill service that will deliver the highly-skilled personnel they require.

 

The successful candidate will convert calls into meetings for the Directors and gain new vacancies which they will (depending on their preference) either manage or pass to one of the experienced resourcers. The sales team earns commission on the number of successful placements they make, is individually based and not capped.

 

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly intelligent graduate, or telesales executive who wants to progress within a professional recruitment company.  The role commences in the new business team and can progress into field sales, talent acquisition, interviewing and account management roles.

 

Initially the role will require you to work hard to gain a full and detailed appreciation of the company’s service lines, capabilities and pricing models.  So much so, that you are able to articulate these services to your target prospects. 

 

The work will be varied, but mainly phone based. To be successful in this role you will need to enjoy exploring customer needs and be able to identify verbal buying signals and be able to close conversations into meetings.  On the telephone you will need to think quickly to be able to craft effective business solutions within the professional resourcing space.

 

Essential skills:

 



  • At least 6 months working within a structured telesales operation


  • Knowledge of sales techniques and how they can be utilised to achieve the most positive results


  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong and successful sales record and the ability to meet targets


  • Graduate calibre, or at least A level qualified or equivalent


  • Able to develop and coordinate sales campaigns


  • Knowledge of word, excel, PowerPoint and databases


  • Would suit a part-time, or full-time employee, with a strong background in sales

£20K - £30K DOE plus commission and benefits



NB:  Must be able to drive

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
