Description
Lloyd Recruitment Servicesare seeking an experienced Facilities and Building Maintenance Team Member to join a leading employer in central Basingstoke.

 

Working as part of a small team, you’ll be joining at an exciting time of change for the company, who over the next 12 months will be going through a total re-fit internally.

 

You’ll be overseeing the daily running and maintenance of the building and services (lighting, heating, machinery, equipment and tools), as well as the grounds (gardens, walkways and delivery areas) - supervising and supporting external contractors if required.

 

Monitoring Health & Safety throughout, and carrying out regular checks and tests on alarms/compliance equipment.

 

During the re-fit and beyond, you’ll be responsible for carrying out moves and relocations, setting up meeting rooms and generally keeping the business in an operational mode.

 

Individual requirements:


  • Experience in a similar role or in a self-employed capacity.


  • Demonstrate a relevant trade qualification/skill and the care and maintenance of tools of the trade.


  • Have working knowledge and experience with grounds machinery.


  • Have a good working knowledge of plumbing, general maintenance and electrical works.


  • Able to work with minimal supervision.


  • Able to communicate well within a commercial office environment.


  • Demonstrate a sound awareness of relevant Health & Safety legislation and guidelines.


  • To be physically capable of manual work, moving furniture etc.


  • Computer literacy in Email, word documents and basic level spreadsheets.


  • Full UK driving licence.


  • A relevant trade qualification.


 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9-5pm – but you will be required to join the 24 hour call out listing on a rota basis – very minimal requirement though.

 

This role will be offered subject to the candidate successfully passing DBS check.
