Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are currently working with a leading Travel and Leisure company based in the East Grinstead area. They currently have a requirement for a Senior Revenue Management Analyst to join their team.

 

This role will involve supporting the new pricing and revenue management strategies aimed at maximising customer satisfaction and improving revenue performance.

 

This role will benefit from a support team already in place including: Head of Commercial; Group Revenue Manager, UK Senior Accommodation Manager; two Accommodation Managers; and a Commercial Analyst.

 

To be successful in this role the candidate must:

 



  • Be a confident, skilled Senior Revenue Management Analyst with relevant Revenue Management/ Yield Management / Pricing experience acquired in the Hospitality, Airline, or Rail industries


  • Demonstrate expert understanding of applying effective yield and revenue management practices. It is essential that the individual is highly computer literate with a high level of command of Excel. Knowledge of hotel/leisure, pricing, revenue management and reporting technology systems: PMS, Yield Management Software, CRS, Channel Management is vital to this job


  • Be proactive, results driven and demonstrate initiatives to implement improvements


  • Have the confidence to communicate and present to the organisation at all levels of business


  • Be up for a challenge – the candidate will be accountable for supporting the changes in pricing and revenue management strategies and improving revenue by applying the most up-to-date Pricing and Revenue Management techniques to deliver the best experience for customers


 

Main Purpose of Job:

 



  • To support both Pricing and Revenue Management strategies


  • To support the implementation of the new Revenue Management system in line with the company objectives


  • Performance reporting; competitor analysis; input to site acquisition and budget setting


 

Key Responsibilities:

 



  • Assist in the development and implementation of an improved, appropriate pricing strategy to maximise market share, occupancy, yield and customer satisfaction


  • Assist in implementing the new Revenue Management system


  • Develop new Pricing structures with Group Revenue Manager


  • Ensure recommended strategy is based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and insight


  • Ensure appropriate reports and reporting tools are in place and properly maintained to facilitate effective revenue management


  • Analyse booking patterns and trends in order to make sound Revenue Management decisions


  • Forecast revenue performance and contribute to preparing management’s weekly reviews


  • Monitoring competitor pricing and performance


  • Work closely with the Group Revenue Manager and the Marketing team to initiate promotions at appropriate times, delivering the desired effect 


 

Duties include:

 



  • Sales and Pricing Strategy: maintain, adjust and deliver the most appropriate prices at the right time to the right customers to maximise yield


  • Monitor competitors’ performance and actions, and incorporate it in Revenue Management actions


  • Measure, analyse and report on booking trends, pick up, pace and projections to all stakeholders


  • Integrate and communicate well with other functions to ensure the company delivers the best possible customer’ experience


  • Ensure the revenue management function is utilising the most appropriate tools and systems to deliver the most effective and efficient performance


 

Required Individual, Skills and Experience:

 



  • Must be proactive and results driven with the drive and initiative to implement change and improvement


  • Relevant hands on experience as a Senior Revenue Management Analyst in the travel industry, preferably Hospitality, Airline, or Rail


  • Demonstrate expert understanding of applying effective Yield and Revenue Management practices


  • Highly computer literate with a high expertise using Excel


  • Working knowledge of Revenue Management Systems, pricing and reporting technology systems: Yield Management Software, Channel Management, etc.


  • Ability to gather, interpret data and provide insight and recommendations 


  • High attention to detail and a thorough ‘can do’ attitude


  • Strong organisational skills


  • Results driven


  • Confidence to communicate and present to the organisation at all levels of business


  • Able to work independently as well as part of a small team and work across functions and departments


  • Business degree


 

Additional Individual, Skills and Experience – Preferable:

 



  • Knowledge of PMS, CRS


  • A degree in Hotel Management, Yield Management, Business Studies or Economics would be preferable


  • Experience of Tableau reporting tool would be beneficial


 

Salary up to £45K DOE
