Multi‑Trade Operative (Plumbing Basics Required)
Location: Surrey, Sussex & London
Rate: £160 – £200 per day (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Must be DBS clear and either hold a current, valid basic DBS certificate or be happy to obtain one
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Multi‑Trade Operative to work with a family run maintenance company that partners with housing associations across Surrey, Sussex, and London.
This role is suited to someone who is primarily a multi‑trader but has solid basic plumbing skills and is comfortable carrying out a wide variety of domestic maintenance tasks within residential properties.
The Role:
- Carrying out general multi‑trade maintenance and repairs in occupied residential properties
- Completing basic plumbing works such as:
- Tap changes and repairs
- Leak identification and minor fixes
- Replacing valves, traps, and sanitary items
Additional tasks may include:
- Fixing door handles, locks, and hinges
- Minor carpentry and adjustments
- Patch plastering and making good
- General repairs and snagging works
- Providing a professional, customer‑focused service to tenants
- Travelling between properties as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi‑Trade Operative
- Basic plumbing knowledge and hands on experience (essential)
- Background in domestic, residential, or social housing maintenance
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, well‑presented, and able to work independently
