Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer


Hours: Full time, including some Saturdays


Salary: £25,000

Head Office Location: Surrey


We’re looking for a Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer to join our client’s expanding team, covering sites across London and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student, college leaver, or someone looking to start a career in a trade or construction related industry. Full training will be provided, so no prior industry experience is required.


You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a skilled team of engineers, learning how to carry out essential water hygiene and compliance tasks, while developing valuable technical knowledge and industry qualifications.


Requirements:



  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Comfortable travelling in and around Central London

  • Interest in engineering, compliance, or learning a trade

  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn


Key Duties (with full training provided):



  • Carry out water hygiene monitoring, including temperature checks and logbook updates

  • Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and basic maintenance of water systems and tanks

  • Support in sampling and testing closed water systems

  • Ensure company vehicle and equipment are well maintained and kept organised

  • Follow all health & safety guidelines and wear PPE correctly on-site


Key Responsibilities:



  • Represent the company in a professional and polite manner at customer sites

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers

  • Maintain stock levels in the company vehicle and report when replenishment is required

  • Accurately record work carried out and report any hazards or incidents to the Line Manager

  • Commit to learning and development, progressing towards becoming a fully qualified Water Hygiene Engineer
