- Description
- Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a leading Managed Services Provider in the search for a skilled 2nd Line Engineer to join their dynamic team on the outskirts of Camberley. 
 - The role: 
 - In this role, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, focusing on handling 2nd line technical support queries using telephone and remote-based tools. Your responsibilities will include strict adherence to SLAs, efficient utilisation of the Helpdesk Management System, and, when necessary, conducting on-site visits to customer locations. 
 - The candidate should possess strong communication skills, both customer-facing and internally, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers, Microsoft Windows Desktops, Office 365, Backup Software, Antivirus software, and general networking.

 - Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Engineer: 
 - 2nd line support for Windows desktops, laptops, hardware, and software
- 2nd line support for Windows 2008 – 2019 Servers (On-Prem/Virtual/Azure)
- Support of Microsoft Exchange
- Supporting Office 365
- Writing/Updating User and System Documentation
- Network and Server Administration
- Working on SLA-based technical support calls
- Troubleshooting Microsoft SharePoint
- Some project work may be required
- Attend client sites as required to complete support tickets and/or project work
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 - Key Skills of the Support Engineer: 
 - Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Microsoft or COMPTIA certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of troubleshooting MS Windows Server/Desktop, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365
- Knowledge of Server Hardware, TCP/IP, SSL Certificates, DNS records
- Ability to handle multiple requests efficiently through the helpdesk system

 - Desirable: 
 - Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint design
