The Role:

We’re excited to be recruiting a DSAR Officer for a leading organisation on the outskirts of Crawley. In this role, you’ll take ownership of fulfilling DSARs and ensuring compliance with UK GDPR. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise data protection processes and support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in promoting a culture of data security across the business.

DSAR Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of data subject requests (e.g. subject access and erasure requests)

  • Streamline and improve internal documentation for handling data requests

  • Assist in the development of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)

  • Support the integration of tools like OneTrust for data management

  • Contribute to company-wide processes such as Data Protection by Default and by Design.

  • Deliver training and awareness campaigns on data security and compliance

  • Provide well-considered advice on data protection enquiries

  • Stay updated with the latest legislative changes by attending industry events and seminars

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

  • Experience managing DSARs from start to finish

  • Relevant data protection qualifications (e.g. UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM)

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

  • Strong IT skills, ideally with Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, or Microsoft Office

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or PCI DSS standards

  • Experience with information security best practices

Why Join?

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regarded organisation, contributing to key compliance initiatives while enjoying hybrid working and a great benefits package.
